Solingen
Solingen is located in North Rhine-Westphalia, also known as the city of blades, the city is known for the manufacturing of fine swords, knives, scissors and razors by famous firms. In Medieval times, the swordsmiths had to keep their savoir-faire of sword making a secret. However, in the latter part of the 17th century, a group of swordsmiths from Solingen broke their guild oath by sharing their knowledge to Shotley Bridge, County Durham in England.
Frankfurt
Frankfurt, officially Frankfurt am Main is the fifth-largest city of Germany after Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Cologne. The city is also called the manhattan of Germany because it has some of the tallest skyscrapers. Like France and the region of Franconia, the city is named after the Franks.
